    Two interesting fact about Mildred Fish Harnack are she translated many books from English to German. Mildred Fish Harnack faced Adolf Hitler and was one of the few who ever did. She was the only America woman ever to be executed by Hitler and the Nazis Party.

    Mildred Fish Harnack was born on September 16th in 1902, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She was born to Georgia and Willam Fish. The birth certificate has the date stamped October 31st, and she is named Matie with no middle name instead of Mildred Elizabeth. Mildred is famous because she is the only American ever excuted by the Nazi’s, they excuted her with the guillotine, Hitler’s excuting machine as they called it. She faced down Adlof Hitler as few ever had or would. That is why we honor her, for her bravery and courage.

They attempted to bring the war to an end as quickly as possible. Mildred Fish Harnack was executed by guillotine on February 16, 1943. She was sentenced to death for her role in the Red Orchestra. She is remembered till this day for her bravery for helping the Red Orchestra.
